  • A brief overview of the ARM [Acquisition Retention Monetization] strategy 

 

Acquisition

Acquisition is a method of acquiring players to play your game. There are various methods which are used for acquiring users. These steps have to be taken into consideration to ensure acquisition. App Optimization, Virality, Marketing, Word of Mouth, PR are some of the few methods of accruing players. Each methods has its own cost and challenge associated with it.

 

Retention

Once the players have been acquired it is time to retain the players. Retention is process of keeping your players attached to your game like a leech.  The game has to maintain long-term relationship with its players since a company will spend vast amount of money in acquiring players.

 

Monetization

Monetization is the process about how one goes about getting your players to pay for things in the game. Present monetization business for mobile is relatively new and there is scope of new models using which games can be monetized.
